The UCD Graduate School of Business & Law is offering 11 Ad Astra
Doctoral
Scholarships for students commencing their studies September 2007.
The Ad Astra Doctoral Scholarships are aimed at excellent candidates
who
wish to pursue PhD degrees by research with participation in a
structured
PhD programme. Scholarships will be tenable for up to 4 years and carry
a
stipend of €16,000 per annum plus additional grants to cover fees,
conference attendance and fieldwork costs.
Of the 11 scholarships available, 8 are for the School of Business and
3 for
the School of Law.
To be eligible to be considered for a UCD Ad Astra Doctoral Scholarship
a
candidate should have obtained or expect to obtain a 1st Class Honours
Degree or at least a 2.1 Honours Degree or equivalent and be qualified
for
direct admission to a PhD programme for the first time in September
2007.
Additional evidence of having demonstrated an aptitude and interest in
research would be advantageous.
